Harry Kane has scored 10 World Cup goals for England, level with Gary Lineker as the joint highest scorer in the country’s history at the tournament.
The Bayern Munich forward got there with a brace in the first half of England’s Group L opener against Croatia, taking his tally to 10 goals from 12 games across three World Cups.
Lineker set the mark across two tournaments, 1986 and 1990. Kane has needed an extra tournament to match it, but the number now puts the captain alongside one of the most recognisable names in England’s World Cup history.
