CHELSEA PLAYERS CONFIRMED FOR 2026 WORLD CUP SQUADS

Chelsea will have multiple players representing their countries at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the tournament set to be held across Canada, Mexico and the United States this summer. The club has confirmed a number of Blues will be travelling to North America as part of their respective national squads, with more call-ups expected as further federations announce their selections.

England captain Reece James has been named in the Three Lions squad, marking his first appearance at a FIFA World Cup. The Chelsea skipper has earned 22 caps for England to date and was part of the squad that reached the UEFA Euro 2020 final. James and England have been drawn in Group L, with fixtures against Croatia in Dallas on 17 June, Ghana in Boston on 23 June, and Panama in New York/New Jersey on 27 June.

Full-back Malo Gusto will represent France at his first World Cup, bringing nine senior caps into the tournament. The defender is placed in Group I alongside Senegal — meaning he could face Chelsea teammates Nicolas Jackson and Mamadou Sarr in France’s opening game on 16 June at the New York New Jersey Stadium. France also face Iraq and Norway to complete their group stage.

Pedro Neto heads to North America with Portugal, having already accumulated 23 international appearances. The winger has tournament experience from Euro 2024 and the 2025 Nations League Finals, where Portugal defeated Spain to claim the title. Portugal are in Group K, facing DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia.

Senegal’s contingent includes both Mamadou Sarr and Nicolas Jackson, the latter having spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Bayern Munich. The pair were involved in Senegal’s African Cup of Nations campaign earlier this year and will compete in Group I alongside France, Norway and Iraq.

With five players across four nations and several inter-squad fixtures on the cards — Chelsea fans will have plenty to follow throughout the group stage.
