Chelsea have completed the signing of Dastan Saptayev from Kairat Almaty, with the teenager agreeing to a seven-year contract before moving to Burnley on loan.
The Blues have paid a £3.4m fee to bring Saptayev to the club.
His Chelsea contract could not be signed until he turned 18 on Wednesday. Before completing the move, however, he had the opportunity to feature for Chelsea during pre-season as a trialist.
Saptayev will now spend the upcoming season in the Championship with Burnley, where he will be hoping to secure regular game time.
Chelsea have confirmed that the young forward is officially their player, with his initial spell at Burnley set to provide the next stage of his development.
