Ibrahima Konate has admitted he was disappointed not to get the chance to properly say goodbye to Liverpool supporters before leaving the club.
The defender played his final match for Liverpool against Bournemouth at Anfield before his departure was confirmed.
Following his exit, Konate shared a message with fans on Instagram and reflected on the end of his time at the club.
“I was deeply saddened that I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to all of you at the last game,” Konate wrote.
The France international leaves Liverpool after five seasons at Anfield and has now completed a move to Real Madrid.
Konate made 183 appearances for the Reds during his spell on Merseyside and won the Premier League, FA Cup, two Carabao Cups and the FA Community Shield.
