Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a £73.5 million offer for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, according to reports.
The Sun claims Spurs’ interest in the Netherlands international is active, with the North London club ready to step up their pursuit this summer.
Tottenham reportedly view Gakpo as an ideal target for Roberto De Zerbi’s rebuild. If Liverpool accepted an offer at that value, it would make Gakpo Spurs’ record signing, surpassing the £65 million paid for Dominic Solanke.
TEAMtalk recently reported that Gakpo has concerns over his role at Liverpool and that his representatives are exploring potential options away from Merseyside.
No agreement has been reported between the clubs.
