Odegaard Gives Knee Injury Update Before World Cup

Martin Odegaard says the knee problem that affected him during the final months of Arsenal’s season is finally beginning to improve ahead of the World Cup.

The Norway captain revealed he had been managing the issue since February after scoring in a 1-1 draw with Morocco in his country’s final warm-up match in the United States.

“I’ve been struggling with my knee for a while,” Odegaard told TV2. “I feel like it’s starting to ease now and I feel like it’s been good for a while. My physical shape is good.”

The 27-year-old played through the closing stages of Arsenal’s campaign after picking up the injury in a 1-1 draw with Brentford, including the Champions League final against PSG.
