Thomas Tuchel has not confirmed whether Bukayo Saka will start for England against Croatia in their 2026 World Cup opener on Wednesday, according to talkSPORT.
The Arsenal winger is typically a guaranteed starter for the Three Lions, but Tuchel has recently raised concerns over his fitness, suggesting his minutes may need to be managed.
If Saka misses out, fellow Arsenal man Noni Madueke is expected to take his place in the starting XI for what is considered England’s toughest group stage fixture.
England face Croatia at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 BST on June 17.
