Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay says his side are ready to deliver a strong performance against Chelsea as they prepare for the match.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, McTominay stressed the importance of responding in the right way after their recent setback.
“We are professionals, we work for this, and we hope to deliver a big performance in a fantastic atmosphere. As for the loss in Turin? We analyzed the race, saw the mistakes we made, and we can improve. We need to approach this the same way we have throughout the season,” McTominay said.
He also addressed the physical demands of a busy schedule and Napoli’s mindset going into the game.
“We play a lot of matches, it’s tough, but this is football, and we have to accept it. It’s not easy for the staff to keep up, but we give everything we have, even tomorrow, and we look forward to getting on the pitch. Chelsea are strong, but we want to move on!”
McTominay was also asked about Manchester United and former teammate Michael Carrick.
“I’m not surprised, I wish him all the best. The early competitions were good, and we hope it continues like that. Rosenior? He has lots of ideas, but let’s focus on what we need to do. I believe it will be a good challenge and a useful comparison.”
