Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé is fully available and ready to feature in Tuesday’s crucial UEFA Champions League playoff first leg against Benfica at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, after completing a full training session without any setbacks.
The French superstar, who sat out Real Madrid’s convincing 4-1 LaLiga victory over Real Sociedad due to minor left-knee discomfort, trained normally at Valdebebas on Sunday — the penultimate session in Madrid before the team travels to Portugal for a final training at the venue on Monday.
Coach Álvaro Arbeloa confirmed no new injury concerns across the squad following the league win, with players who featured in the match focusing on recovery work. Mbappé’s return to full training provides a major boost for Los Blancos as they prepare to face Benfica in the knockout round playoffs, aiming to advance to the Round of 16.
Absent from the group are Jude Bellingham, Éder Militão, and Rodrygo, who continue their rehabilitation programs and remain sidelined.
The high-stakes encounter marks a key moment in Real Madrid’s European campaign, with the first leg set for February 17, 2026.
