Injured Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham combined romance and team support on Valentine’s Day, taking girlfriend Ashlyn Castro to the Santiago Bernabéu for a VIP viewing of Los Blancos’ dominant 4-1 La Liga win over Real Sociedad.
The 22-year-old England international, currently sidelined with a hamstring injury (extended recovery timeline of 6-8 weeks after initial 4-week estimate), was spotted alongside the 28-year-old American model in the stadium’s exclusive section as his teammates secured the victory. Goals from Gonzalo García, Vinícius Júnior (brace), and Federico Valverde highlighted the performance, extending Real Madrid’s league winning streak to eight matches.
Bellingham and Castro, who went public with their relationship in January after connecting via Instagram, have kept things relatively low-key since then. The Valentine’s outing marks one of their more public appearances together, blending Bellingham’s recovery downtime with support for his club amid his push to return for England’s pre-World Cup friendlies in March.
England manager Thomas Tuchel recently commented on Bellingham’s determination: “The club is a bit more defensive on the outlook regarding the weeks of his recovery. Jude is pushing, and as we know him, he is determined and super professional. He will try everything to be with us in March… Personally, I am optimistic, but I am not sure.”
The date comes as Bellingham continues rehabilitation, missing upcoming fixtures including the Champions League playoff against Benfica. Despite the setback, the midfielder has impressed since joining Real Madrid in 2023, netting 44 goals in 128 appearances.
