Liverpool will be without Alisson Becker when they face Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend, with Giorgi Mamardashvili set to make his top-flight debut.

The Brazilian goalkeeper suffered a hamstring injury during Tuesday’s 1-0 Champions League defeat to Galatasaray, forcing him off in the second half. While the Reds are awaiting scan results, head coach Arne Slot has already ruled Alisson out of the Stamford Bridge clash.

“It’s never positive if you go off like this. You can be sure he is not playing Saturday,” Slot confirmed.
Alisson’s absence sees summer signing Mamardashvili step in as first-choice goalkeeper, having already featured in the Carabao Cup and against Galatasaray. He will be supported on the bench by fellow new arrival Freddie Woodman.

Liverpool are also without Hugo Ekitike, who remains sidelined through injury, while Slot must decide whether to rotate his midfield options after a packed European schedule.
