Former Barcelona boss Xavi Hernández has emerged as a candidate for the managerial position at Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, according to fresh reports.
Italian journalist Matteo Moretto revealed that Xavi is among the options being considered by the Jeddah-based club, with talks already underway. The Spaniard has been without a club since leaving Barcelona more than a year ago.

Xavi, once a key figure both on the pitch and in the dugout at the Camp Nou, has not returned to management since parting ways with Barcelona over 12 months ago.
Despite being linked with various jobs across Spain and abroad, none of those opportunities materialised into a concrete agreement.
Now, the former midfielder could be set to resume his coaching career in the Middle East, with Al-Ittihad eyeing a new direction after a difficult run of results.
The Saudi club, home to several high-profile players, are actively considering candidates as they seek stability at the helm.
Reporting on Sunday, Matteo Moretto stated:
“Xavi is one of the options for the Al-Ittihad bench. Ongoing conversations between the parties, and there are other candidates in the running.”
