According to BILD, the strained relationship between Mark and Denise Bellingham is affecting the 20-year-old midfielder’s confidence and form. The couple were seen sitting apart during Dortmund’s recent Champions League match against Athletic Club, with Mark said to have spoken “almost exclusively” to another relative while Denise remained distant.
The report adds that this ongoing tension has left Jobe feeling “massively insecure” as he faces the pressure of stepping out from the shadow of his brother, Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.
It’s also claimed that the young midfielder’s transition to life in Germany has been challenging. Earlier this season, his parents were reportedly banned from the dressing room after an emotional clash with manager Niko Kovac.
Jobe has yet to complete a full 90 minutes in any of his nine appearances for Dortmund this campaign, highlighting his inconsistent start. While his move from Sunderland came with high expectations, his adjustment period has been overshadowed by off-field issues.
Dortmund are expected to offer additional support to help the England youngster focus on his development and settle into the Bundesliga environment.
