Al-Nassr wrapped up the AFC Champions League Two group stage with a flawless record after hammering Iraqi side Al-Zawraa 5-1 on Wednesday.
Cristiano Ronaldo made his first appearance of the continental campaign after sitting out the opening five group games and marked his return with an assist, but the night belonged to Kingsley Coman.
The French winger opened the scoring in the 12th minute after combining with Angelo Gomes, before Wesley doubled the lead seven minutes later after reacting quickest to a loose ball from a corner.
Abdulelah Al-Amiri made it 3-0 before the half-hour mark with a header from Joao Felix’s delivery, as Al-Nassr continued to overwhelm their opponents.
Coman was involved again just before the break, finding Ronaldo on the edge of the box. The 40-year-old chipped the ball into Felix’s path, and the Portuguese forward lobbed the goalkeeper to make it 4-0.
Al-Zawraa briefly pulled one back early in the second half through Ibrahim Gbadamosi, but Coman quickly restored Al-Nassr’s four-goal cushion by completing his brace in the 56th minute.
While Ronaldo contributed with an assist, he largely stayed quiet in front of goal as Coman dominated the right flank and tormented the Al-Zawraa defence throughout.
The comprehensive victory underlined Al-Nassr’s dominance in the group, as they finished with a 100 per cent record after another ruthless attacking display.
