Inter president Giuseppe Marotta has revealed how Cristiano Ronaldo’s obsession with detail set him apart during his time at Juventus.

[La Gazzetta dello Sport reports] Marotta said Ronaldo would “even analyse bottles of water” with club doctors to understand their properties and effects on his performance.

“At Juve, I was lucky enough to have Cristiano Ronaldo,” Marotta said. “He was different from the others because he would even analyse bottles of water. He would go to the doctor and ask what was in them, their characteristics.”

Marotta added that Ronaldo’s longevity stems from habits like these. “If he’s still a champion today, it’s also because of things like this,” he explained.

Now 40, Ronaldo continues to perform at a high level with Al-Nassr, recording 124 goal contributions in 117 matches since joining in December 2022.

He extended his contract in June and has already scored four goals in as many Saudi Pro League games this season, showing no signs of slowing down.
