Bukayo Saka made Arsenal history after scoring a stunning goal for England in their friendly win over Wales.

The 24-year-old fired into the top corner from just inside the box, leaving Wales goalkeeper Karl Darlow helpless as England stormed into a 3-0 lead within 20 minutes.

The strike was Saka’s 13th for his country, making him Arsenal’s highest-ever goalscorer for England surpassing club legend Cliff Bastin, whose last international goal came in 1938.

It also marked Saka’s first goal for England since their Euro 2024 quarter-final win against Switzerland.

Speaking on talkSPORT commentary, England legend Stuart Pearce hailed the effort, saying: “That is one of the best goals I have ever seen in this stadium. An incredible finish.”

Former Wales defender Tom Lockyer added: “He cuts in on his left foot and from there into the top bins you just don’t save those.”

England’s third goal also brought a team milestone it was the first time they had led 3-0 by the 20-minute mark since a 4-1 win over Yugoslavia in 1987.
