Harry Kane Ballon d’Or 2025 ranking: Bayern striker finishes 13th despite 55 goal contributions

Harry Kane has shockingly been ranked 13th in the 2025 Ballon d’Or standings, missing out on the top 10 despite an incredible 55 goal contributions last season. The decision has sparked fury from fans, with many calling the result disrespectful to one of football’s most consistent forwards.

KANE RANKED 13TH

The build-up to the Ballon d’Or gala at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris has already revealed 20 names from the Top 30. England captain and Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane was placed 13th, a decision that surprised many after his dominant 2024/25 season.

Despite scoring 41 goals and providing 14 assists across club and country, Kane was left out of the top 10. Fans were quick to voice their anger at what they saw as an unfair and disrespectful snub.

FANS REACT WITH OUTRAGE

Social media exploded with criticism of the Ballon d’Or rankings. One user, @south_southBoy, posted: “This is just so funny. Kane is easily top 5 in the world.”

Another, @hardeywhuyi1, added: “A joke. He had a better season than Mbappe.”

Bayern supporter @BayernArgento fumed: “Harry Kane out of the world’s top 10 according to some shtty awards… what a disgrace.”*

Spurs fan @owenthfc__ echoed the sentiment: “Harry Kane is genuinely the most disrespected footballer of all time… No chance twelve players had a better year.”

Finally, @SamueILFC highlighted the comparison with Chelsea’s Cole Palmer: “Cole Palmer above Harry Kane in the rankings is an absolute disgrace. He went missing for half a season while Kane got 53 G/A and won the league.”

KANE INCREDIBLE SEASON

Over the course of last season, Kane delivered 55 goal contributions — 41 goals and 14 assists. This tally was the third highest across Europe’s top five leagues, only behind Raphinha and Mohamed Salah.

The striker was also instrumental in leading Bayern Munich back to the Bundesliga title, after the club had missed out in the 2023/24 season. His consistent output underlined his reputation as one of the most reliable forwards in world football.

DISRESPECTED DESPITE SUCCESS

While Kane has often insisted that team success matters more to him than individual awards, his 13th-place ranking once again highlights how frequently he is overlooked on the global stage.

Despite his record-breaking numbers and leadership as England captain, the Ballon d’Or voters placed him outside the top 10, sparking widespread debate over whether Kane is one of football’s most underappreciated stars.
