Pep Guardiola has praised Kevin De Bruyne’s blistering start to life at Napoli, but warned Manchester City must be ready for the Belgian’s threat as he returns to the Etihad Stadium for Thursday’s Champions League clash.

The Belgian midfielder, who departed City in the summer after nine glittering years, has wasted little time settling into life in Serie A. He has already scored twice in three league games for the Italian champions.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s clash, Pep Guardiola admitted he was not surprised by De Bruyne’s instant impact.
“No surprise! Players at that level adapt so quick, players at that level don’t need much time to adapt and perform well,” Guardiola told reporters. “His incredible talent, vision, passes, assists, goals, in the final third – he’s unique!”
When asked about the reunion, Guardiola added with a smile:
“After the game, yeah. Of course it’s nice to have him back!”
