Deployed as a No.9 in the absence of Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski, Rashford delivered again under Hansi Flick, helping Barça return to winning ways in Europe.

Despite missing key attackers, Barcelona dominated from start to finish. Fermin Lopez struck twice before halftime, Lamine Yamal added a penalty, and Rashford scored twice in quick succession before Lopez completed his hat-trick to seal a commanding win.

Fans flooded social media with praise for Rashford’s resurgence. One Manchester United supporter wrote on X: “Marcus Rashford has been Barcelona’s best player since Raphinha got injured.” Another added: “I hope they sign him permanently and pay us good money.”

Others celebrated his revival, with one fan posting: “Rashford thriving at Barcelona is so beautiful to see. Go ahead and shine.” Another wrote: “From being an outcast to becoming the face of Barcelona. Rashford never gave up.”

Since joining on loan from Manchester United this summer, Rashford has scored five goals and provided five assists in 12 matches, quickly earning Flick’s trust.

Before the Olympiacos clash, Flick said: “Rashford is a good option as a No.9, but he can also play as a No.11. He’s improved a lot in recent weeks and gives us a lot of positives.”

After this performance, Rashford appears to have cemented his starting role ahead of Sunday’s El Clasico against Real Madrid the first of his career in Spain’s most famous fixture.
