Liverpool have dismissed claims that Adam Wharton has agreed a five-year deal with the club, with the Premier League champions not currently targeting the Crystal Palace midfielder, according to Liverpool ECHO.
The 21-year-old has become an important figure in Palace’s squad, which lifted the FA Cup last season.
Despite his rising profile, Liverpool believe their midfield is already well stocked and are not actively pursuing a deal for the England international.
This season, Wharton has featured in 31 games across all competitions, contributing three assists.
