Endrick has completed a loan move from Real Madrid to Lyon for the remainder of the 2025–26 season as he looks for regular playing time.
Lyon have confirmed the deal, which does not include a purchase option, announcing the transfer with a video showing Endrick visiting the club shop and wearing his new No.9 shirt.
Reacting to the move, the 19-year-old said: “Christmas has come early.”
Endrick has made just four appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season and is due to link up with his new teammates from December 29.
[The Athletic reports] Endrick will not be available for Lyon’s Ligue 1 match against Monaco on January 3 due to French registration rules, with the deal only officially confirmable from January 1.
The Brazilian has already posted his first message as a Lyon player on social media, writing: “Allez, les Gones.”
Former Real Madrid forward Mariano Diaz has advised Endrick to make the most of the move, saying that being trusted as a starter is the best way to prove his value and that a return to Madrid remains possible.
Endrick arrived at Real Madrid last season and made 22 appearances under Carlo Ancelotti but has struggled for minutes during the current campaign.
Speaking to Placar in November, Ancelotti said Endrick needs regular football, adding that the forward has the quality to play at future World Cups if he gets back to playing consistently.
After Monaco, Lyon face Lille in the French Cup on January 11 before returning to Ligue 1 against Brest.
