Manchester United are ready to go head-to-head with Barcelona for one of Europe’s most exciting young strikers Karl Etta Eyong.
The 21-year-old Cameroonian has burst onto the scene this season, catching the attention of some of the biggest clubs around after a blistering start in Spain.

According to Fichajes, United and Barca are both keeping a close eye on the Levante forward, who’s valued at around €30 million.
Etta Eyong only joined Levante in the summer after stepping up to Villarreal’s first team, and he’s been on fire ever since. In just eight league appearances, he’s already bagged five goals and three assists numbers that have Europe’s elite circling.
While the striker can’t move again until next summer after playing for both Villarreal and Levante this season, that hasn’t stopped United and Barcelona from laying the groundwork early. The Red Devils have reportedly opened talks as they look to strengthen their attack for the future.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have been long-term admirers. They tried to land the youngster in the summer, but financial restrictions stopped the deal.
Etta Eyong is said to dream of playing under Hansi Flick, and Barca plan to reignite their pursuit next year. Their strong relationship with his representatives could give them an edge in the race.
The forward’s release clause sits at €30 million, but due to a unique agreement with Villarreal who still hold part of his rights a deal could be struck for around €15 million.
With both United and Barcelona circling, a summer showdown for one of La Liga’s breakout stars looks inevitable.
