Raheem Sterling is expected to leave Chelsea in the next few days before the winter transfer window closes on Monday, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Earlier reports had suggested the 31-year-old would remain at Cobham for the rest of the season, with no clubs showing interest in a move.
However, Chelsea are now working with the player’s representatives to try to find a solution before the deadline.
The report adds that reaching an agreement is not easy due to Sterling’s £300,000-a-week wages.
