Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement to sign 18-year-old attacking midfielder Dro Fernandez from Barcelona. The player will join PSG on a contract running until 2030.
The move is PSG’s first signing of the winter transfer window. Fernandez, a La Masia graduate, had a contract with Barcelona until June 2027 but informed the club of his desire to continue his career elsewhere.
Despite interest from clubs in England and Germany, Fernandez chose PSG, where coach Luis Enrique who shares the same agent influenced the decision.
To maintain good relations with Barcelona, PSG will pay slightly above the €6 million release clause, bringing the total transfer fee to around €8 million. Fernandez is expected to arrive in Paris shortly to finalize the deal.
