Napoli have completed the permanent signing of Giovane Santana do Nascimento from Hellas Verona in a deal worth €20 million, including bonuses. The move follows the departures of Lucca to Nottingham Forest and Lang to Galatasaray.
SSC Napoli confirmed the transfer in an official statement:
“SSC Napoli announces that it has acquired, on a permanent deal, the sporting services of player Giovane Santana do Nascimento from Hellas Verona.”
Born on 24 November 2003, Giovane is a Brazilian forward who played 21 Serie A matches for Verona, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
He also has 19 appearances with the Brazil U20 national team, scoring two goals, and four appearances with the Brazil U23 team.
“Welcome, Giovane!” Napoli added in their announcement.
