Liverpool may face a battle to keep Alexander Isak, with Barcelona reportedly considering the Swedish striker as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski.
The 37-year-old forward’s contract expires next summer, and Barca are not expected to offer him a new deal after four years at the club.

Isak joined Liverpool from Newcastle United just over a month ago for a British record £125 million but is still adjusting to life under Arne Slot. The Swede has one assist and a Carabao Cup goal in six appearances so far.
[Speaking to OLBG], former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Gaizka Mendieta suggested the Catalan side could revisit their interest in Isak once Lewandowski departs.
“There was talk in Spain of Alexander Isak going to Barcelona before he joined Liverpool,” Mendieta said. “Barca will be looking for his replacement next year and Isak will be looked at. Great strikers are never short of offers.”

Other reported options for Barca include Manchester City duo Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, though Haaland remains the “dream” signing for club president Joan Laporta.
