Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is targeting a sensational move for Barcelona midfielder Pedri in the 2027/28 season, according to a detailed report from Spanish outlet ElDesmarque.
Journalist Siro López first revealed the news on his YouTube channel, describing the potential transfer as a “bombshell” only comparable to Luis Figo’s move from Barcelona to Real Madrid in 2000.
The report states that Pérez’s dream is not just to strengthen his squad but to take an essential player from Barcelona. However, the move is described as “virtually impossible.”
Pedri has a contract with Barcelona until 2030 that includes a €1 billion release clause, and he is known to be a dedicated fan of the club. López noted that while “money talks,” the player is currently happy at Barcelona.
In a separate but related claim within the same report, López and colleague Juan Gato stated that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha has already agreed to join Real Madrid for next season.
