Barcelona have rejected a €45 million bid for striker Ferran Torres amid interest from Premier League clubs [Fichajes reports].
The 23-year-old has emerged as a key player for the Catalans, scoring 15 goals in 27 matches this season, having once been considered a backup option.
Barcelona insist they are under no financial pressure and have no plans to sell a vital player in the middle of the season.
The club wants to maintain their squad strength, knowing they remain in contention for all three major trophies this season.
However, the report adds that Barcelona’s stance could change in the summer transfer window, when a sale may become more “viable.”
The club will assess future offers and Ferran’s impact, with the situation potentially influenced by Robert Lewandowski’s future at Camp Nou.
Barcelona also recognise that Ferran’s value could rise by summer, especially if he performs well at the World Cup, meaning any future bid could exceed €45 million.
