Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his return to action for Al-Nassr in today’s Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Fateh, ending a three-match absence from the squad.
The 41-year-old Portuguese superstar missed his club’s recent 1-0 AFC Champions League Two round-of-16 first-leg win over Arkadag FC, as well as two prior matches. The break was attributed to decisions and budget issues involving PIF (Public Investment Fund) management.
Transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the forward’s availability on Thursday, stating: “Cristiano Ronaldo, back available for Al Nassr to face Al Fateh. He’ll be back on the pitch on Saturday after the break Cristiano took due to PIF management decisions/budgets and more issues. Cristiano will be ready to play tomorrow.”
Ronaldo’s return is expected to provide a significant boost to Al-Nassr as they continue their domestic campaign.
