Marc-André ter Stegen could be sidelined for up to two months after suffering a muscle injury during Girona’s match against Real Oviedo, according to reporter Nil Sola.
Initial medical examinations were reportedly negative, leaving the goalkeeper’s immediate future uncertain and opening the possibility of a return to parent club FC Barcelona. The 33-year-old German, on loan at Girona for first-team football, had played just twice before the injury.
