adidas has revealed the official match ball for the 2026 UEFA Champions League final in Budapest, a design inspired by the spirit and architecture of the host city.
The ball will make its on-pitch debut during the current season’s Champions League knockout phase. Its design draws from Budapest’s identity as “Buda and Pest – a Tale of Two Cities,” blending historic and modern elements into its visual language.
The ball features a rich purple metallic base with a chameleon-like finish that shifts in the light, set against white panels with the competition’s iconic stars. Graphic details are inspired by liquid forms and Budapest’s Art Nouveau tradition, while symbolic lion and dragon motifs are integrated into the panel graphics.
Beyond its aesthetics, the ball uses adidas’ thermally bonded, seamless construction for performance. The launch also marks the 25th anniversary of adidas’ partnership with the UEFA Champions League.
