Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al-Nassr continued their perfect start to the Saudi Pro League season with a 3-0 victory over Al Akhdoud.
The Portuguese star’s brace, followed by a late Joao Felix goal, sealed a record 10th consecutive league win and moved Al-Nassr four points clear at the top after 10 matches.
Al-Nassr dominated from the outset and eventually took the lead just after the half-hour mark. Joao Felix’s corner was headed back across goal by Angelo Gomes, allowing Ronaldo to tap in at the far post.
Ronaldo doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time with a clever finish after Marcelo Brozovic squared the ball into his path inside the penalty area.
Kingsley Coman struck the crossbar early in the second half, while Al Akhdoud had penalty appeals waved away following a VAR check for offside.
Ronaldo thought he had completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute, but the goal was ruled out after VAR confirmed an offside in the build-up.
Felix then capped the win late on with a composed finish from inside the box to make it 3-0.
Al-Nassr remain unbeaten and top of the table, with Ronaldo once again proving decisive as his side maintained their 100 per cent league record.
