Manchester City forward Savinho has signed a new contract that ties him to the Etihad Stadium until 2031, ending speculation over a potential summer switch to Tottenham.

The 20-year-old Brazilian winger has made just two starts this season — one in the Premier League against Burnley and another in the EFL Cup against Huddersfield, where he also found the net.

Despite limited minutes, City have moved quickly to secure his long-term future, with director of football Hugo Viana describing him as a player of “limitless potential.”

Savinho expressed his pride at committing to Pep Guardiola’s side, stating: “I am still young and hungry to learn. Working with Pep and his staff will help me develop into the player I want to be. I want to help City win many trophies and put my name in the club’s history.”

The Brazilian has so far lifted only the Community Shield during his time at City but has vowed to repay the faith shown in him by fans and teammates.

He will now aim to become a key figure in Guardiola’s squad as City prepare for their Premier League clash with Brentford this weekend.
