Brothers Jaden (19) and Reigan (17) Heskey both came on in the second half to make their first-team debuts. Jaden replaced Nico O’Reilly in the 76th minute, with Reigan following six minutes later. Both came through City’s academy system, where Jaden has captained the Premier League 2 side.

Their father, Emile Heskey, played 62 times for England and scored seven goals in a two-decade career that included stints at Liverpool and Aston Villa. Speaking previously, he noted that his sons share many of his traits: “They are both very athletic. The young one is very quick. The older one is a bit of a beast like I was.”

FODEN THE DIFFERENCE

Phil Foden once again starred for City, scoring the opening goal with a neat first-half finish. Guardiola highlighted his impact in central areas, describing him as “a real threat” when playing close to the box. The manager praised Foden’s consistency in recent games against Arsenal, Manchester United, and Napoli.

TEAM ROTATION PAYS OFF

Guardiola made nine changes from the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, with only Foden and O’Reilly keeping their places in the starting XI. Despite the changes, City were too strong for Huddersfield and advanced comfortably to the next round.
