Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Liverpool got off to a nightmare start as star defender William Saliba was forced off the pitch just minutes into the game.
The French centre-back could not continue after picking up a knock and was replaced by new signing Cristhian Mosquera in the backline.
Saliba lasted only four minutes before the substitution was made, leaving the Gunners with a major defensive problem in one of their most important early-season matches.
The timing of the injury adds to Arsenal’s challenges, as they now have to reshuffle their defence against a strong Liverpool side at Anfield.
Manager Mikel Arteta will hope Mosquera can quickly adapt and steady the backline in Saliba’s absence.
