Manchester United tribute to synagogue attack victims before Sunderland clash

Manchester United will honour the victims of Thursday’s terrorist attack at a local synagogue when they face Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Premier League has granted United permission to hold a minute’s silence before kick-off, with players also set to wear black armbands. Two people were killed in the attack, while three others remain in hospital.

United boss Ruben Amorim said: “It’s a crazy world that we are living in the moment, a lot of these things are happening. Of course, our sympathy for the victims, and we will pay tribute tomorrow.”
