Manchester United are preparing to offer midfielder Kobie Mainoo a new contract following his impressive displays under interim manager Michael Carrick, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Carrick has guided United to two key wins over Arsenal and Manchester City, with Mainoo playing a crucial role in both matches. The young midfielder has established himself as a consistent starter, highlighting his quality and importance to the club’s future.
Although Mainoo’s current deal is not near expiry, United want to demonstrate full confidence in him by providing a longer contract alongside an improved salary. Negotiations are focused more on financial terms than the length of the deal.
Mainoo was previously linked with a loan move to Napoli, but the arrangement did not include any purchase option or obligation, ensuring his return to Old Trafford. The midfielder has always been committed to staying at Manchester United.
