Manchester United beat 10-man Tottenham 2-0 at Old Trafford, with Bruno Fernandes marking his 200th career goal in a win that moves his side within three points of second-placed Manchester City.
Spurs captain Cristian Romero was shown a straight red card in the 29th minute for a reckless challenge on Casemiro. Bryan Mbeumo gave United the lead before halftime, and Fernandes secured the points with a late finish.
The goal was a significant personal milestone for the Portuguese midfielder, who now has 200 goals for club and country. The victory is United’s fourth consecutive Premier League win under interim coach Michael Carrick.
