Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the La Liga season with a 4-1 victory over Levante at the Ciudad de Valencia. Vinícius Jr., Franco Mastantuono and Kylian Mbappé were all on the scoresheet as Xabi Alonso’s side made it six wins from six.

EARLY PRESSURE FROM LEVANTE

Levante created a couple of big chances early in the match but failed to take advantage. Real Madrid punished them soon after.

VINÍCIUS AND MASTANTUONO STRIKE

Vinícius Junior opened the scoring with his third goal of the season. Minutes later, Franco Mastantuono netted his first goal since joining from River Plate in the summer, doubling Madrid’s advantage.

LEVANTE PULL ONE BACK

Karl Etta-Eyong reduced the deficit shortly after half-time to give Levante hope. However, Real Madrid quickly regained control of the game.

MBAPPÉ QUICKFIRE DOUBLE

Kylian Mbappé was fouled inside the penalty area on 64 minutes and converted from the spot. Just two minutes later, he latched onto a pass from Arda Güler, rounded goalkeeper Mat Ryan, and finished calmly for his second goal.

OUTSTANDING START TO THE SEASON

Mbappé’s brace takes his tally to nine goals in seven appearances. The Frenchman has been in spectacular form under Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid look to maintain their dominance.

With victory secured, Real Madrid can now turn their focus to this weekend’s Madrid derby at the Santiago Bernabéu.
