Barcelona midfielder Fermín López has publicly expressed his desire for Lionel Messi to return to the club.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Fermín was asked which player he would sign if he were in sporting director Deco’s position. He responded candidly:
“If it were up to me to sign someone for Barça, I would sign Leo Messi. If they bench me for Messi, so be it!”
The comments quickly drew attention in Catalunya, highlighting the Spanish international’s admiration for the club legend.
