Former Barcelona forward Thierry Henry has weighed in on the intense criticism Real Madrid players have faced from their own supporters in recent weeks.
Drawing on his experience in Spain, Henry explained that fan pressure at elite clubs comes with unique expectations and little margin for error.
“It happened to me in Barcelona. In these kinds of teams, you’re judged by what you don’t do, not by what you do. They booed everyone,” Henry said.
The former Arsenal striker stressed that such reactions are part of life at Europe’s biggest clubs.
“When you play for Real Madrid or Barcelona, the fans let you know when they’re not happy. No matter what you want, when they’re not happy with something, they let you know.”
Henry’s comments come amid growing scrutiny of Real Madrid players following recent results and visible discontent from the Bernabéu crowd.
