Gonzalo García has been named La Liga EA SPORTS Goal of the Month for January after his brilliant strike against Real Betis.
The Real Madrid forward scored a stunning volley from outside the box to double his team’s lead at the Santiago Bernabéu.
In the 50th minute, with Madrid already 1-0 up, Gonzalo controlled a Federico Valverde cross on his chest and unleashed a powerful right-footed shot that left goalkeeper Álvaro Valles with no chance.
This marks the first time the 16-shirt forward has won the monthly award.
Gonzalo triumphed over Espanyol’s Carlos Romero and Girona’s Vladyslav Vanat in the final vote.
The youngster continues to shine for Los Blancos, having already notched five goals and two assists this season.
