Barcelona have unveiled a special edition kit for the upcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid featuring British singer Ed Sheeran’s new album logo.

The club confirmed the collaboration on social media, writing: “Ed Sheeran joins Barça. It’s time to play.”
Sheeran’s “Play” album emblem will appear on Barcelona’s home kit for the high-profile clash on 26 October, following his recent public appearance wearing a shirt combining both logos.
The move continues Barcelona’s ongoing partnership with Spotify, which has previously featured global artists such as Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, and Karol G on the team’s kits.

Speaking about the collaboration, Sheeran said: “Seeing my new album, Play, on the Barça shirt is one of those moments I can hardly believe. I’ve loved football my whole life, so bringing my music to such an iconic stage and sharing it with fans everywhere means a lot to me.”

Barcelona confirmed that the special emblem will debut on 19 October in the women’s match against Granada CF, before returning for the men’s El Clasico on 26 October.
