Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has suffered another injury scare after the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain. The 18-year-old felt discomfort in his pubic area, the same problem that sidelined him for three weeks earlier this season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Yamal could now face a further two to three weeks out, raising doubts over his involvement against Sevilla and his participation in Spain’s World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Bulgaria.
The issue has reignited the club-versus-country row, with Barca furious at how the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) handled his fitness last month. Hansi Flick had publicly criticised Spain’s use of Yamal, claiming the winger was risked while carrying pain, a stance backed by sporting director Deco.

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has since hit back, questioning Flick’s empathy as a former national team boss and insisting the World Cup qualifiers are the priority. “I was simply surprised by those statements because he was a national team coach, and I believed he had that empathy,” De la Fuente said.
If Yamal is unavailable, Flick could turn to Marcus Rashford, Raphinha, Ferran Torres or Roony Bardghji to support Robert Lewandowski in attack against Sevilla.
