Barcelona have confirmed that 17-year-old midfielder Guille Fernández faces four to five weeks out with an ankle injury suffered while playing for Barça Atlètic.

Fernández, who impressed during pre-season and has trained regularly with the senior squad, was expected to be in Hansi Flick’s matchday plans for last weekend’s clash with Valencia.
Instead, he was substituted at half-time of Barça Atlètic’s defeat to Andratx after feeling discomfort.
A club statement read, “The tests carried out have shown that Barça Atlètic player Guillermo Fernández has an injury to the tibioperoneal ligament of the left ankle. The expected recovery time is between four and five weeks.”
The setback delays the youngster’s push for a first-team debut as Barcelona juggle a busy September schedule that includes Champions League group-stage fixtures and key La Liga encounters.
