Michael Carrick is keen to reintegrate Marcus Rashford at Manchester United if he secures the permanent manager’s job, according to The Telegraph.
The report states Carrick values the forward, who is currently excelling on loan at Barcelona. Rashford scored a stunning free-kick in the Champions League this week, taking his season tally to nine goals and 12 assists.
The England international has publicly expressed his desire to stay at Barcelona, telling ESPN, “I’m enjoying this football club… it is an honour.” The Catalan club are reportedly eager to activate his £26 million purchase option this summer.
Despite Rashford being under contract at United until 2028, his strong form and stated happiness in Spain present a significant obstacle to any potential recall.
