Inter Miami have confirmed Sergio Reguilón suffered a Grade 2 knee sprain during their preseason friendly against Alianza Lima, leaving his availability for the start of the MLS season uncertain.
The Spanish left back sustained a partial ligament tear in his right knee following medical evaluations. Surgery has been avoided, but the club said his recovery will be assessed on a week-by-week basis, with no return date set.
The injury occurred during Inter Miami’s 3-0 defeat to Alianza Lima in Peru, where Paolo Guerrero scored twice as Miami endured a difficult start to their preseason campaign.
Reguilón’s fitness is now in question ahead of the 2026 MLS season opener against LAFC on February 21, with the club monitoring his progress closely in the coming weeks.
