Pep Guardiola has confirmed that four Manchester City players will return to the squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, offering a boost after Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to Bodo/Glimt.
Antoine Semenyo and Bernardo Silva missed the trip to Norway due to ineligibility and suspension respectively, while Jeremy Doku was an unused substitute despite early concerns and is expected to feature.
New £20m signing Marc Guehi is also set to make his debut after completing his midweek move from Crystal Palace.
Guardiola welcomed the reinforcements, saying: “Really good [to have Guehi] considering the absences with central defenders.”
However, Matheus Nunes remains sidelined with a virus, while Nico Gonzalez is still out after picking up an injury against Brighton, leaving City without at least seven players, including three centre-backs.
