West Ham United have completed the loan signing of winger Keiber Lamadrid from Deportivo La Guaira as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
The Hammers have scored just 24 goals in 22 games this season, with the Venezuelan joining to add depth to Nuno Espirito Santo’s forward line.
West Ham confirmed the deal on Thursday, with the 22-year-old expressing his delight at securing the move.
“It’s an incredible opportunity to be here at this beautiful Club,” Lamadrid said. “I thank God first of all, and all the people who helped me get here. I also thank my family, who always supported me. For me, it’s a dream to be here.
“I’m excited to grow as a person, as a player, and I want to do well at this club. I want to adapt as quickly as possible, to continue growing as a player and open doors again for Venezuelan football. Nothing is impossible.”
Lamadrid is a left-footed winger who prefers operating on the left flank but can also play centrally, offering Nuno additional flexibility in attack.
West Ham have already added strikers Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe this season as they continue their search for more goals in the second half of the campaign.
