AFC Bournemouth have agreed a deal in principle worth €35 million with Vasco da Gama for winger Rayan.
The 19-year-old is keen on a move to the Premier League, with talks between the two clubs progressing positively over a potential transfer.
Reports last week suggested Bournemouth had submitted a bid, and an agreement in principle has now been reached, with Rayan expected to travel to the UK later this week for a medical.
Rayan has featured once for Vasco da Gama this season, scoring twice in a 4-2 Campeonato Carioca opening win over Maricá.
He was left out of the squad for the subsequent match against Nova Iguaçu as discussions over his future continued.
The teenager has made 99 appearances for Vasco in all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing two assists.
Bournemouth have been searching for a winger following the departure of Antoine Semenyo and an injury to Justin Kluivert.
Should the move be completed, Rayan would become the Cherries’ third signing of the January window, following the arrivals of Fraser Forster and Alex Toth.
